Intro
I have always loved musicals. I was very young - about 6 years old - when I saw the movie version of Grease for the very first time (on video) and I fell in love with Danny (John Travolta).
I even told my mom I wanted to marry him! *LOL*
Mom told me it wasn't possible, and she told me that he was much older than me.
I thought about it for a while, then I said: "But, Mom, I'm gonna grow up later on."
I also liked Mary Poppins and The Wizard of Oz a lot as a kid.
A few years later I saw the movie versions of The Sound of Music,
Annie and Oliver! - and I loved those movies!
I'd love to see stage versions of Annie and Oliver! some day.
In 1992 I saw a stage version of Grease. It was great! And it felt magical.
It was the first musical I saw live.
In May 1993 I saw FAME - the Musical with a friend.
FAME quickly became a favorite musical of mine; I really liked the story, the music, the artists and the characters they played.
I liked FAME so much I actually saw it 4 or 5 times (years: 1993 & 1994)! And I saw a different version of FAME in 2004.
